NEW TOOL: Supporting Preservice Teachers with Task-Based Instruction

Part of the core work of teacher education is to bring new educators into best-practice forms of subject matter instruction. The planning, development, and enactment demands of equitable 3D science instruction are such that it is helpful to support preservice teachers as they engage in this work. This new STEM Teaching Tool on task-based instruction outlines an approach — with sample templates — to support preservice teachers in instructional planning, enactment, and reflection. This resource comes from the UConn Teacher Mentoring Collaborative.
