NEW TOOL to center learning on home and family socio-ecological questions, wonderings and experiences

Educators can collaborate with families to build science learning based on home experiences and interests. The Learning in Places project’s neighborhood walk activities for classrooms and families focus learning on these family understandings of a place, its histories, and its significance to families, communities, and science. This new STEM Teaching Tool suggests how educators might use Learning in Places lessons and tools to support family-centered science learning that connects school and home.
