NEW TOOL to create justice-centered assessments

In 2016, we published STEM Teaching Tool #29, with steps to design three-dimensional assessments. This resource has been popular, as it offers a step-by-step process for groups of teachers to write assessments. As educators have become more comfortable with three-dimensional science education, we began to create a new resource, one that significantly revises Tool #29 to focus on justice.
Our new resource is STEM Teaching Tool #83: Steps to Designing Justice-Focused Assessments in Science. Use the resource to create assessments in which students use science and engineering knowledge and practices to solve community problems.
