Dig Into Science

Get ready to “Dig into Science!”
This platform provides an introduction to current best practices in science education. It is an entry point for teachers new to science, paraprofessionals who support science learning, administrators who observe and support teachers, or anyone supporting science learning outside of school (families, informal educators, and community members).

Organization of these Modules
The platform is organized into Bites, Snacks, Meals, and Desserts to allow you to dig in to what you need or make your way through a full course.
![]() |
Bites: Quick overviews of a single topic meant to whet your appetite. Start with Bites to get an idea of what is to come. |
![]() |
Snacks: More detailed information about the topic is provided, giving you great ideas and helping you identify whether or not you are interested in the Meal. |
![]() |
Meals: Multiple dishes of topic-related content are provided. Schools, districts, and organizations may choose to use these deeper explorations and professional learning modules within a site-specific implementation or for professional development. |
![]() |
Desserts: Sweet and savory, these offerings provide additional resources or deeper dives into the topic. |
You do not need to eat every dish, and you can come back for seconds! Dig into each dish you are interested in, taking note of the recommended actions you can take, and engaging with the reflection questions. If you need to demonstrate/document your learning, you may need to record your responses to the prompts and/or reflect on implementation of the recommended actions you can take.
